New ERA - XC London

Had a good time down here last week, a lot of creative hats on display a few to my taste and many surpassing it in terms of quirkyness.

Shouts to Sam New ERA and all the entrants for putting on a show.

New Era Party Pics

I followed Mo down to the New Era shop for a little free booze and good music. It was to kick off the start of the UK B-boy Championship, it started off inside and kinda spilled into the street. So you know it was a good time.

The Reset IIII

This long weekend will probably have been the most tiring of my life to date. It will have started in east at the Reset IIII 1948 on Friday, where I headed after work to see what crack the UK Streetwear brands had managed to cook up since the last one back in April, was it April? It might have been May, anyway forgive the confusion I am quite tired and confused.
I was at the Nike Reset IIII from Friday to saturday, obviously I went home but you get my drift, I was present on both days.Friday was the busier of the two plus it didn't rain and considering the past couple of days that's a massive bonus, however on Saturday it did chuck it down, nonetheless here's couple pics from Friday - Saturdays activities.

Now for the Black and White, I think these are better...
.

Right thats enough pics for now, I might upload some later on but I think i'm going carnival now.
Peace...

We're 1

Its funny what can change in a year....

Myself & Merrick sat down and decided we were gonna start doing nights under M&M, Party N Bullshit was to be the first night with more coming under the M&M promotions name...

We didnt even write Party N Bullshit properly on the flyer in case we pissed off the club owner, Ive gotta laugh at that!

The blog to be totally honest wasnt even planned from the beginning, when we did the Reset afterparty last August with Trapstar & Tim N Barry we felt like we needed a site to stick on the flyer with theirs so i quickly set up a squarespace blog & its kind of just kept rolling from there, we moved it over to blogspot in November, I copped the Url in February & I wouldnt say the rest is history...but yeah you're reading this so we're doing suttum right I guess?

Over this past year, alot has changed within the team, its not longer Merrick with me on this (though i'm gonna be kidnapping him for the tees when its that time) I'm the bawse on my own now, the team's rebuilding (shout to Akin aka Crack Stevens for jumping on board!) we've got various nights in London popping off (Overproof, Stop Begging & Top Billin) that we do with a few friends (shouts to Tim & Barry, Cannon & Kish) & im in talks with a few peeps to morph us into a new collective site (more info on that as it happens).

Shouts to all the team, everyone who sends us stuff to blog, all the peeps who come to our events & check the blog...LOVE!

We're not doing a '1st year anniversary' party as whats the point? I dont even make a fuss over kids' 1st birthdays, there'll be plenty more innit!

R.I.P BIG

R.I.P to the best that ever did it (say something!)13 years today...

Had to put this up as a tribute, one of my faves & the inspiration for PNB!

Hello Culture!

Press play before on this video before you read any further…..

Done? Fantastic, then let me begin

Here at PNB we’re all about exploring new territories and experiencing the new...

So the all powerful Wizards of Oz, Motive & Merrick have decided to bestow upon you, a new regular culture section for the blog...

In which we depart from the standard formula for blogs of posting a picture of something shiny and then telling everyone a whole two words of aimless opinion on it & instead deliver some actual useful stuff, that you’ll want to read/watch/research into a little further.

The track you hear playing in the background right now is  Theophilus London’s new ridim ‘Humdrum Town”. It’s good init?! Early 90’s fashion styling, 80’s pop, slick Hip Hop bars, and a bit of eeeeeemotional singing on the top makes for an Indie Hip Hop sound that we can all fuck with!

Anyway, apparently good old Theophilus is creating quite a following in his native New York, and US, and is scheduled to hit the UK pretty soon for some live dates after he touched down @ YoYo last year. Youtube his ‘Always Love You’ video with Whitney, he looks like he knows how to smash a live show.!

All of us here @ PNB know a cult classic movie when we see one, especially if it includes a few troublesome sub-titles (La Haine, City of God and Battle Royale for example) So we’re all very excited at the arrival of the new French film ‘The Prophet’, which has a limited cinema release across the UK. Before I say anything else, just watch the trailer:

I don’t think I need to say much more, if this was an English language film, you would have all already gone and seen it, so excited, that you needed your pop corn boxes to cover your cinematic-violence induced boners!!
But it’s French so most plebs won’t bother, so you dudes get to see it, love it, make it a cult classic before these lames get to know Wha Gwan! And in two years time, when it comes on BBC2 at 1am in the morning, and everyone see’s and loves it, you can tell em how late they are!

Don’t you just love that feeling!!!

Mani

keeping it moving!

2010 will see alot of new stuff happening for us here at PNB, we've got some big events lined up for the coming months, we'll be launching PNB TV over @ dontwatchthat.tv as well as starting PNB radio all very very soon!

So in order to keep the blog moving & improving we're introducing new contributors Tarik, Mani & Iola, all bringng something different but all for the better of the team.

Look out for their postage coming very soon!
